Meadow Water Table Monitoring

Meadow Water Table Monitoring

DistrictProjects/Patrickmonitoring.jpg

Location: Corral Creek
Description: Groundwater elevations will be measured with data logging pressure transducers and physical measurements in 35 observation wells at five Corral Creek meadow system locations. Water levels in adjacent stream channels will be recorded at six additional logger installations. Cumulative stream discharge below the meadow systems will be determined by developing rating curves using a data logger installed immediately downstream of Racetrack meadow. Results will be used to indicate possible changes needed in restoration methods and help to determine the extent to which restoration efforts increase storage and enhance steam flows for steelhead.
Status: Active
